Ye maggots, feed on Nicol’s brain,
For few sic feasts you’ve gotten;
and fix your claws in Nical’s heart,
For deil a bit o’ t’s rotten.
Raymond Lamont- Brown: Scottish Epitaphs. Cahmbers, Edinburgh, 1990
